In 2005, the Camp and Retreat Ministries of National Capital Presbytery relocated their home 24 miles north-west to Middleburg, Virginia; after more than forty years of service to campers and retreat guests in Gainesville, Virginia. The transition from Glenkirk to Meadowkirk was made official with the dedication of the Meadowkirk property on March 12, 2005.
The National Capital Presbytery’s Camp and Retreat Ministries provides hospitable places of Christian community, including Meadowkirk, where individuals and groups can experience and explore their relationship with God and each other while enjoying God’s creation. As a ministry of National Capital Presbytery, the Camp and Retreat Ministries Committee encourages discipleship through spiritual nurture, Christian education and leadership development. Meadowkirk strives to promote the stewardship of the earth and its resources and to model acceptance of each person as an equally valued child of God. http://www.meadowkirk.org
